Decembeard – The month of beards!

Throughout the month of December, people are joining together to ditch the shavers and growing a beard to support anyone and everyone affected by bowel cancer. Did you know that Bowel Cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK, almost 43,000 people are living in the UK today that has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. We want to help spread awareness! The symptoms of bowel cancer can include:
  • Bleeding from your bottom and/or blood in your poo
  • A persistent and unexplained change in bowel habit
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Extreme tiredness for no obvious reason
  • A pain or lump in your tummy
Not all people with these symptoms have bowel cancer, but if you are worried, don’t be embarrassed to visit your GP – it won’t be a first for them!
