World Menopause Day: Let’s Talk About Menopause at Work

At B Hygienic, we believe looking after people means creating spaces where everyone feels comfortable, supported and able to be themselves — and that includes talking about menopause.

For many women, menopause doesn’t just affect life at home. It can have a real impact on the working day, too. Hot flushes during meetings, sleepless nights that make early starts harder, or struggling to concentrate when your mind feels foggy are all things that can make work feel more challenging.

Yet, menopause is still something many people feel awkward talking about at work. Some may worry about speaking up, asking for support or being treated differently by their colleagues.

We think it’s time to change that.

A little understanding can go a long way. Whether that means having an open conversation with a manager, making small adjustments to the working environment or simply being a colleague who listens without judgement, we can all play a part in making the workplace more menopause-friendly.

This World Menopause Day, we’re encouraging everyone to start the conversation. You don’t have to experience menopause yourself to be part of making a difference.

Because no one should feel they have to struggle in silence at work.

Let’s keep talking, supporting one another and making sure every woman feels seen, heard and understood.
